So every adventure comes to an end. I’ve spent 6 months in Australia and I can truly say that time flies. Now that I think about it as I’m back home, everything seems so distant. As if it happened in a dream.

I really enjoyed my time in Australia. It is a truly amazing country with something for everyone. The nature is astonishing, I’ve done so much hiking, climbed hills and mountains, swam in waterfalls, learned surfing. Also, for city lovers Melbourne and Sydney are a must see, with loads of museums, libraries, restaurants and, of course, the nightlife.

When trying to think what this exchange has given me, it’s definitely about experiencing something different. I’ve met so many interesting people from all around the world, had the best conversation and just learn that no matter how different we are, we can still get on so well.

I remember myself saying goodbye to my French housemates. My lower lip was trembling, but I’ve tried to stay strong. I know true friendships last and we’ll see each other back in Europe.

If anyone’s reading this and contemplating whether it’s is worth going on exchange or not, my advice is: just do it. Is there much to lose?

And that’s a picture of me feeding a kangaroo.

Saying Goodbye is the Hardest Part
