I guess introductions are in order.

My name is Elliott Joyce. I’m headed into my final year of university and am going to Western University for a semester to study. My flight is in 4 days.

All good? Right.

The past few days have been weird to say the least, saying goodbye to friends and whatnot. My half packed suitcase is to my right at the moment, I’ve only managed to pack my clothes so far with my games consoles and other bits to follow suit tomorrow most likely. It’s insane how you can take everything you need to live your life in one suitcase and just…go somewhere.

For the first time, it feels real.

I make it sound like I’m not looking forward to it, but it couldn’t be further from the truth. The excitement is unreal and the fact that I’m still going despite multiple obstacles getting in my way makes the reality even sweeter. Seeing my other friends out there across the world fuels the excitement even more, knowing I’ll be joining them so soon.

I’ll be adding more posts over the next few months here and there, both for specifics things that happen and for random bits and pieces I fancy writing about. Stick around!

Pre-emptive jitters
