Background:
I was a second year Economics and Finance student looking for experience in public policy or international development. I found Think Pacific online and then found out that the University offered a scholarship! I decided to apply, and I was successful!

The Internship
The internship experience began with you choosing an area of interest, I chose international development. After the onboarding training I was able to select a project that interested me. There was really great choice and I even ended up doing 2 projects during my time as an intern! The work I produced included informative materials such as leaflets and posters to educate people on climate change and most notably writing a climate change policy!! I really enjoyed the challenge of this and the freedom to complete more than one project across different areas.

The result
After choosing my projects I had weekly check ins with my mentor and daily support available via a work group chat. I completed my projects and presented them at the end of the internship. I really enjoyed this experience and found it so valuable in finding out what I enjoyed and developing my professional skills!
