After arriving in Hong Kong for nearly two months, I’m getting used to the busy life here and enjoying my study. Let me introduce parts of my life here now!
The most exciting thing could be my new university – the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Located in the city centre, it is very convenient to travel around, there are bus stops and train station just near the university within two minutes walk.
Our accommodation is not near to the university, however, there is a long bridge connecting the student hall and the university, it will only take us 10 minutes to get to school, and we do not have to worry about the rain because there are roofs on the whole bridge. Our student hall is also near the Victoria Harbour, where we can enjoy the beautiful view within 20 minutes walk.
The location of Polyu is excellent, there are many good restaurants nearby, most of the restaurants offer local food, but there are also Asian restaurants from different countries, the prices are reasonable and some of them have student discount. We do not have to worry about food either in campus, there are three big student canteens in our university, which offer many tasty food from all over the world.
Studying in Polyu is also interesting, subjects they offer are quite practical and we can choose our preferred classes to learn. We also have many group works and practices that can help us communicate with local students.
Hong Kong has a warm weather, even it is March now, the temperature is over 25℃ already, I quite enjoy the weather now, but I’m kind afraid of the upcoming hot summer.
