Humming ‘I’m leaving on a jet plane’ and blurting out the occasional Japanese phrase shows me to be in the strange no man’s land of transition between the UK and Japan. This land is full of preparation, packing and pre-flight angst. I’ve made many a goodbye, obtained my Visa, and now I’m left with the awkward dilemma of deciding how many Jaffa Cakes is socially acceptable to cram into my case. This is what it has come down to, and this will be my life for the next three days. As such, there is not an awful lot to report. For now then, sayonara!
