Castello Sforzesco contains a museum, an art gallery and allows access into Parco Sempione which is a public park where a lot of live music and events occur-there is a small aquarium there as well. If you walk to the other side of the park you can visit the contemporary art gallery the Triennale. At the beginning of my semester I would come here a lot as they allow free entry on Tuesday afternoons and my Sculpture course wanted me to visit their gallery and view how they mix contemporary support structures to the old and traditional artifacts. One of the galleries holds Michelangelo’s ‘Rondanini Pieta’ which was Michelangelo’s last artworks he ever did before he passed away-you can see that it is incomplete.
